ABOUT THE ROLE
- As the new Data Engineer with AI, you will join our Business Intelligence team to shape the strategy of our data and start building foundations of AI that will help shape how the whole company uses data in the future.
- You will own our data platform including pipelines, integrations and data models that keep the whole business running.
- Amongst your main responsibilities will be to lay the groundwork for AI enablement. You will be developing AI agents on request along with Model Context Protocols and automations that reduce manual work across our internal teams in Sales, HR, Finance and other areas.
- You will be the main driver of democratization of our data. Your work will empower our colleagues across other departments to be able to pull and use any data through a natural language query.
- You will collaborate and work with a wide range of stakeholders within the business becoming a go-to person for any topics around data or its automation using AI.
- This is not a standard BI role. You will not be just building reports, but you will be a part of the team moving the whole company towards the AI-powered BI era.
- We are still at the beginning of our AI journey with space and freedom to influence frameworks, tools and our best practices.
- You will join us at this initial stage to set up the groundwork, experiment and innovate testing new frameworks and investigating what is just hype and what is useful to be able to implement solutions with real business impact.
ABOUT YOU
- You are an experienced Data Engineer who wants to go further and enhance your work with modern AI driven workflows.
- You are comfortable using SQL and Java on a daily basis. Potential experience with Kotlin would be a great advantage!
- You know your way around BigQuery or a similar warehouse tool and you are used to working with a cloud solution like Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure.
- You are passionate about AI and you would love to have support, time and space to experiment with AI agents, data automation or AI tooling beyond just writing simple prompts.
- You are not afraid to challenge unclear or unrealistic requests, and you know how to steer conversations towards workable high-impact solutions.
- You strive for ownership, responsibility and impact driving projects end-to-end from the initial inception of the idea to its final implementation.
- You have a builder mindset, are curious, proactive and thrive in environments where not everything is neatly defined yet.
