Commercial Data Engineer

👫 Who are we looking for? Do you love turning messy commercial data into clear insights that help sales teams win? Are you an analytical thinker who knows how and where to apply AI?
We're looking for a Commercial Data Engineer who will become the analytical backbone of our operations.

🌍 Where? Hybrid in Brno, or remote in the Czech Republic.

🗓️ When? July, 2026.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Commercial Data Engineer at ROI Hunter, you'll sit at the heart of our Business Intelligence team, working closely with Sales and Customer Success to make sure commercial decisions are backed by clean, reliable data.

  • You will analyse commercial funnel data including deal stages, POC results and time to close metrics.
  • You will own and clear the backlog of commercial data requests from Sales and CS teams.
  • You will also support US-side analytical requests coming through after the merger with Pattern.
  • In this role your goal will be to work with clean and structured data to enable regression analyses and commercial reporting.
  • Apart from standard day to day data work you will work with AI tools to figure out what we could automate to accelerate your analytical work.
  • On top of these you will generally back up and collaborate with the broader BI team on operational data tasks.



ABOUT YOU

  • You are an analytical thinker with a solid commercial background with understanding of sales funnels, deal stages and how CRM data connects to real business outcomes.
  • You don't just pull numbers, you know what questions to ask and what the data is actually telling the business.
  • You are an excel superuser capable of working independently.
  • SQL is your good friend whenever you have to query or structure data.
  • Having previous experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM would be a great qualification too!
  • You are AI ready. You know where to apply AI tools in your work, which ones are worth the licence and our time.
  • You are comfortable handling a varied backlog of requests from multiple stakeholders and you thrive in an environment where priorities shift and ownership is expected, not assigned.
  • It would be nice if you had experience with Python or R for more advanced analysis or an experience or background in SAAS or commercial analytics.

 

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH THE TEAM

The Business Intelligence team works closely with Sales, Customer Success and Finance to support day-to-day commercial decisions as well as long-term planning. We already have established reporting and analytics in place, and you will help us further improve and scale it.

You will collaborate with experienced commercial and management stakeholders across the company and the US parent organization. The team values structured thinking, ownership, and practical impact, we challenge ideas, share knowledge, and look for smarter ways to work.
